How to Grow a Business with Live Streaming

Michael Cinquino, creator of Live Stream Profit Machine and live streaming expert, has experienced great success with Periscope and other such live streaming tools. In fact, through the use of Periscope, Michael’s business has grown at a rate faster than any other social media platform.

This is because live streaming has something different than any other social media platform has to offer. Live streaming offers a transactional experience with your audience. Everything else you see on any other platform has already happened. So what sets live streaming apart is that it allows us to have this real back and forth interaction.

We live in a day and age where there are so many means to connect, but we have never been more disconnected. This is because there is this missing aspect of authenticity. But, live stream has that. It allows for you to instantly get a sense of who this person really is. Michael refers to this as the “Great Accelerator” because it greatly accelerates the like and trust factor. You get to know your broadcaster almost instantly. Forming these connections and trust happens faster than it would on any other platform.

Michael recommends 5 quick things that anybody can do to accelerate the process of gaining followers and connections through live streaming.

You have to have compassion for your audience. If you really care and you have a wish to inspire or educate your audience, and your compassion comes through, this automatically sets you apart from 90%. A lot of people make the mistake when they get in front of the camera and make it all about them. But, it’s not about you. It’s about your audience. And by practicing compassion, you are forced out of yourself.

You must ask yourself, what is going to be valuable to my audience? What are their pain points? The best way to find out is to ask your audience. The great thing about live streaming is that you can flat out ask them what their struggles are. Then, come up with solutions.

This point is slightly self-explanatory. This refers not only to the amount of time you are actually live streaming, but also to the content and experience you provide. Be consistent! It is recommended to do so on a 4-5 time a week basis, at least.

Be real. Your audience will relate to your struggles far more than they will ever relate to your success. The more personal something is, the more universal something is.

At the end of the day, what we want is to convert your audience into paying clients. All you have to do to make this happen is to have something to offer to continue the relationship. You have to be committed. A simple way to way to continue the relationship is by offering a product such as a webinar, seminar, and you can do all of this through live streaming.

Currently, Periscope is leading the way for live stream video. This can change at any time. But the great thing about learning these skills is that they will carry over to any other platform. To hone in on your skills even further, Michael has created a course, Live Stream Profit Machine to teach you how to do just that. His course is broken up into multiple lessons.

Lesson 1 is all about finding your passion. What is it that you want to live stream about?

Lesson 2 focuses on your target audience. Who do you want to connect with? When they are online and how to connect with them, etc.

Lesson 3 is an on camera crash course. It is a condensed learning of the ins and outs of lighting, photography, and angles. Everything you need to know about working the camera is all covered here.

Lesson 4 covers effective broadcast structure. There are ways that are more effective to design and produce your live stream.

Lesson 5 is all about growing your audience. The best way to do so is by partnering up with someone else. By connecting with others, others are able to connect with you.

Lesson 6 focuses solely on monetization. We want to know how to make money and turn live stream into profit. This is the aim of the course!

Now that you have a pretty clear overview of what live streaming is all about and how it could benefit you and your business, you may be wondering if now is the right time to do so.

But, honestly, there is no better time than now. It is much easier to get discovered at the beginning rather than when something is absolutely huge. Just take YouTube as an example.

So, get on periscope now! Give yourself the opportunity to get adopted by a platform. Video is not going away. The sooner you are able to create these transferable skills, the sooner you will experience success. People want to know who you are and connect with you in real time. The sooner you do it, the easier it is going to be!

Go sign up for the course and start broadcasting!
